News: Motorola Droid Shadow/Xtreme running on Android 2.2

The Motorola Droid Shadow, also known as Motorola Xtreme, was once announced that it was running Android 2.1. Now there is news that the Motorola handset is now running Android 2.2, which means it's closer to have Froyo when it does launch according to Droid Life.

There were rumors that the Motorola Shadow/Xtreme may use MotoBlur, but this is not the case. It does not use MotoBlur but the smartphone is said to contain 9 homescreens.

The Motorola Droid Shadow/Xtreme is expected to be launched by Verizon sometime in July but no price has been announced.
