When I travel and enter new time zones, my calendar entries change the hour of the appointments. For example, I live in the Pacific time zone, and I enter on my calendar when my appointments are when I visit DC. When I enter them, I enter them as the time they will occur in DC. However, when I travel to DC, all my calendar entries change to three hours later. And I almost missed my plane flight because of this.
Is there some way to stop the calendar from resetting times when I change time zones?

Re: Help! Calendar and Time Zone problem

This is a poor work around; it is no solution.
If you eliminate auto update, your phone's clock stays set at your original time zone, so that reminders will not be given at the right time, and your phone won't tell the correct time for where you are.
This is a programming bug. My old Palm didn't have this problem. I don't think the IPhone has it either. There is no reason why they can't (and why they shouldn't) reprogram the Android system to lock the calendar without locking the time.
