Razr v3 keypad problems

ok. i think i have a problem with my v3 keypad... motorola frequently asked questions, someone asked that the baklit wasnt always on.. or somethign like that.. moto said that there is a light sensor below the * button. the keypad light turns on if its too dark and stays off if there is enuf light. it told to cover up 1,4,7,* and the bottom bumper to test it... i tried it.. it doesnt work.. my light just comes up random.

Theres' nothing wrong, that's the way the V3 works, if you were to keep your backlight on at all times your battery would suffer a major drain job.

yea.. my razr v3 got problems... the keypad thihng is broken... the wire that connects from keypad and light sensor got disconnected.. it onli works if i push real hard between the * key and like the very bottom of the keypad... and if i dont push it.. it doesnt light up and makes this wierd buzzing noise if u hear it up close.. so im prob gon return this one and get a new one
