it's apparantly been developed over the course of the past 3 years at moto. kind of cool to see how far they've come in the past 10 years..from the bricks to the paper thin razr

The Razr is basically a v600, but what's awesome about it is the aesthetics, that's what you're paying for and that's what all the other phone makers are going to be copying from.
The Razr by all means is not the best phone out there, but when it comes to style there's nothing out there to match it or at least that's been released here in the states, funny but most who say the Razr sucks, are ones who don't even own the phone........or couldn't afford it.

I've owned my V3 for 3 weeks now, and i love the phone. I see how some folks don't like it or pick it apart for silly issues like easy to scratch, or slow internet...the phone operates just like the V600 (my previous phone)....so Like Tony E! states...those who can't afford it.......talk bad about it. those who do own it, and don't like it take it back....with Cingular Blue you have the option to return a phone with-in 30 days if you don't like it..sooooooooo......NEXT!!!

Agreed! i own the v600 and it has almost ever feature if not all. Razor is just thin as paper which is sweet. I have had the chance to play around with one for alittle bit and people say its fragile, but if you think about it it really isnt. It is very well built i liked it. The keypad to me is easy to work with and the size amazing.

I was looking into that new sony ecrisson s710a! that thing looks sweettt

Razr is nice. keypad has longer life than the regular types which wear off or the lettering wears off.
The material looks fragile, but is not. It is aircraft grade aluminum !!

The software and menus are very similar on all moto phones with some upgrades over time. Internet connectivity speeds depends on you service and signal strength and not on the hardware. For example if you use a razr as a modem to connect your laptop you get 9.6 kbps, but if you subscribe to internet service from t-mobile you get many time more speed.

Awesome phone. I agree with Tony E!, the black one is beautiful. Hawt phone. I've heard it looks much better than the "Pebl v6." I heard the v6 looks like crap, and is thicker.

There is a very good and independent review of all the pros and cons of the razr V3 at www.cnet.com. Search the reviews for cell phones and razr V3. You should read the editor reviews to get a honest opinion and analysis.

had mine since november when they came out. zero problems. I will still be ditched as soon as the v1150 comes in though.

as far as that review. It has several false statements in it, such as this.

Though it can be viewed in most lighting situations, it goes completely dark when the backlighting--which cannot be changed--turns off
it can in fact be changed.
