    Hello all
I have the silver motorola razr with cingular service. i just bought it a few days ago, now im learning that they will be getting the black razr soon. is it worth canceling my contract(im still in the 30 day period, so i can cancel for free) and waiting for the silver razr? which one do you guys think is better
do the black razr and the silver razr have anything different besides color?
also, can we update the firmware on the silver razr so it can have the same features as the black razr if it is different....
please advise me on which one to get... they both look sexy(black one looks sexier)

I bought the black razr at the same time a friend bought the silver. The key difference is the black razr comes with a backlight limit of 20 seconds as opposed to 60 seconds for the silver. I've kind of gotten used to it, but it's still annoying to buy the same phone with more limited functionality. This is fixable (as I found out thanks to some very helpful members of this forum) through seem edit, however. That's the only difference I've noticed between the phones.

Even with this limit, I love this phone and would take it over the silver (which I think looks great, btw).

Actually, not all the Black v3's had the 20 second backlight problem. There was a picture posted that clearly proved that it had 20,40,and 60 seconds for the backlight. It's just odd that Doug J's and mine has the 20 second backlight problem.

I read over it, and got p*ssed off myself! It seems real odd, though. I might call in my phone dealer to see if the other Black V3's have this problem.

I have both black and silver V3.. The main difference is that the black V3 has the ability to capture video and stills (with built-in camera). The silver V3 has the capability to capture only stills.. (For the models sold in Singapore... Not sure about other regions)

Same specs... as far as video capture on the silver one you can flex it to add it...

only some overseas black models capture video stock. they are the same exact phone. my silver captures video and even allows for multiple letter search in the phonebook. you can seem edit to fix the backlight lenght as well as have it always on if you want. if your software if new enough you can enable video with seem edits. if its not you will have to flash and or flex to add video.
