I am using MPT v4.0.4b, and found the cnet article to be quite helpful in accessing the multimedia studio. However, with the newer version of MPT, I found a slight tweak that perfectionists such as myself might appreciate. Instead of selecting E815m from the list of drivers, try using V3cm instead. This will give you the correct UI on your desktop and should still give you access to the multimedia studio.

Thanks to everyone who contributed solutions to this issue.

Now, I just need to figure out how to get rid of all the Verizon pre-installed sounds and pictures on my V3c. I don't use them, they are just clutter and wasting my precious 30MB of built-in memory. Any suggestions that won't potentially crash my phone?

I have also used these codes on Motorola V180, V220, V400, and V600, and they all worked the same. Perhaps Motorola has changed this for the V3 and other newer phones. Didn't mean to give anyone bad info, I was just going off of what I was able to do in the past with older phone models...

30 megs of space? Awww, you poor baby... I only have like 7 on my phone, and I had to strip pretty much everything that Motorola put on there just to get that... LOL. Try this. Just be very careful about what you delete. I have messed up a few phones because I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing.

Got MPT working too, but the multimedia function is essentially useless, IMO.

It'll screw up any events saved, forget sycnh'ing, except for 1 or 2 of the folders in phone's root directory, no other folders can be accessed. I know there's work arounds with editing/flashing/flexing, but I'm really disappointed with VZW Razr's overall capabilties and functionality.

Hey dssl, what version of PST do you have and where did you get it? You still seem to be one of the few people in the world who have gotten PST to work with a v3C. From reading here and other forums there are HUGE differences between the V3 and V3c, not to mention the differences between V3c's thru Verizon and other providers with Verizon deciding to use there own software instead of the Moto standard.

Its the latest version I think 4. something

I ran live update a few times until it told me that it was up to date. I am not sure how to tell what version I have but I think it was 4. something.

I just realized my phone is not a razr v3c but a razr v3 blk. Sorry about the error in the title

Ok, a couple more questions then:

    1. What version did it update to? Newest PST I can find it 7.1.1

    2. Where is update in PST? MPT has one but I can't find it in PST

Re: Finally got my razr v3c working here is what I found helpfull.

What is your problem. You dig up a thread from over 5 months old and add nothing to the forum except to ask in a very negative way what is meant by a post. I don't remember and have no inclination to spend any brain power trying to figure it out. I started this thread to try to help people. If you find the thread useful great, if not then just go away.

You do not remember because there was nothing to start with......these forums are very useful EXCEPT when people abuse them and just add replies to be popular or something.........If you are going to post, say something informative and not just a bunch of BS to hear your keyboard rattle!!!!!

No Worry here! I just hate to see good forums ruined because of unnecessary, unwarranted and uninformative postings........Truth hurts, don't it? I will speak no more forever!

Dude, you have 12 posts and dare to come in and talk about "unnecessary, unwarranted and uninformative postings"? You have offered absolutely no help in any of your posts. DSSL has taken the time to help people with their V3c issues. Half of your posts are compliants about other peoples posts, even those who are trying to help you with your own questions. You seriously need to get over yourself!

Re: Finally got my razr v3c working here is what I found helpfull.

FYI I couldn't get the Cnet trick to work with my Verizon V3m. I tired the E815m driver with MPT 3.28 like it said, and the most recent version of MPT. Still haven't found a way to get multimedia to work with the V3m without hacking...
