Hi, last night I got a (Verizon) Motorola Razr V3m which has an MP3 player. But there does not seem to be a way to charge the phone (via the mini USB connector) and use the stereo headset adapter at the same time. When I am in the car I would like to be able to keep the V3m on the car charger, but also use the stereo audio-out of the phones mini-USB port (to get the audio into my car stereo somehow). Does anyone make or sell a "Y" cable to let me charge the V3m and access the audio out at the same time?

And does anyone know if I am playing the phones MP3 player and the phone rings what happens? Does the ring and phone call audio also play thru the audio-out, or does it stop the MP3 player and go thru the phones ear piece or speaker phone? (I don't have a headphone set to test it yet)

    Thanks...
    Jeff

Search eBay for the "Y" splitter. there are a lot of them available.

All the ones I saw on ebay do not deliver the Audio Out lines. Most just let you charge the phone and a bluetooth ear piece at the same time. The Razr; Another Motorola phone where Moto failed to provide a logical way for it to connect to other devices. It'd be nice if Moto engineers used the phones they design the way users do....

I also emailed ocwireless.com yesterday, they are still waiting for someone to make a cable like I described above.

It appears Bluetooth in the Razr can be used to deliver the MP3 player audio to an external device (headset)....BUT does anyone make a Bluetooth reciever that I can put in my car so the audio goes from....
Razr --> Bluetooth reciever in car --> FM Transmitter --> Cars FM radio

    ???????

Re: Razr V3m Charge + Audio Out Y Cable?

    oopppps.....think I misread the manual:

Note: All multimedia (video player, audio
player, shutter tones, V CAST) will play from
the speakerphone when your phone is
    connected to another Bluetooth device.

....so it appears audio from the MP3 Player in the Razr will play through the SPEAKERPHONE if there is Bluetooth "device" connected!! Nice going Moto....another "feature" that works the way the end user doesn't want it to. Dumb.

geez this is DUMB....this would appear to mean you can't use the MP3 player (and cell phone call audio) with stereo headsets like these too:
    http://www.wirelessgalaxy.com/blueto...bCategories=11

......not unless Verizon/Motorola offer a firmware upgrade to the Razr.

Why allow 1GB of storage in the Razr V3m...then make it almost impossible to get those hours of MP3 audio out of the phone without draining the battery quickly!!

    Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
