    Hey Guys/Gals,

Just a quick question thats been bugging me. i have a razr, and behind the main screen, their is what looks like white dust. makes it real hard to see in the day light or any other light. i asked some people i know and never heard of it. is there a cover or something i can take off to get it out or anyother way.

    Thanks for the Help.

(ps) the white dust is not an illegal narcotic and i dont bring it with me when i know im going to be in a real dusty area,

You needn't try to explain to anybody what the dust isn't, whatever lifestyle you choose, and any drug done in said lifestyle is your prerogitive, nobody else's...

As for the removal of said dust, there are several tutorials floating around on the web (Google is your friend, no matter what anybody says otherwise ) regarding what tools you will need, and what steps must be taken to disassemble your phone and clean it out. I have never taken a RAZR apart. I only have a v220, a couple v400's and one v555 under my belt. I will warn you tho, taking these phones apart can be a tricky ordeal. There are many small parts inside that might just fall out if you're not careful. And if you don't remember where they went, you're in trouble... So, with that said, good luck, I hope it works out for you.

I also heard that if your phone is still under warranty you can send back to Motorola through you service provider and have them clean it for you. Not too sure though, they may even charge you for shipping.

who is your service provider? if you have cingular you can call in and have a new phone sent to you free through the warranty department. that is a known defect with the black razr's. good luck.

a couple of my friends have the same problem with their razrs....they said that it will always happen so youll most likely have to take it apart and clean the other side of the screen. good luck
