I am looking at the manual, but it doesn't say what is the largest memory card it can accept. I am assuming it must be at least 512 (the SLVR's limit), but anyone try a 1Gb before?

Just to follow this up, I bougth a sandisk 1Gb card and it seems to work great so far. Will post again if I encounter any problems.

Yes you can put a 1 gig in a v3i. I have a 1 gb sandisk in my v3I

Yes, It takes 1GB, maybe they printed 512MB in the manual because at that time there wasn't a 1GB transflash available..
