I TRIED EVERYTHING. Nothing worked. I considered having the Pope perform an exorcism on my computer. I gave up and went to a different software program (DataPilot - www.susteen.com). That worked.
Then my computer was stolen. I went out and bought a new computer and installed the MPT software on it just on the wild chance it might work. BAM-O, worked perfectly without any glitches. I've been using MPT now for several months without incident. Works perfectly. I have no explanation why.
You might try DataPilot if you just find yourself going crazy. MPT is cool if you can get it to work but the horror stories of people like you (and me before) are not unique. There are many of them across forums like this everywhere on the Internet.
I'll say it again, MPT is voodoo software.

Re: moto razor v3i
I can only give one warning about data pilot "DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE!!!!" For some time I have been a mpt user, with no problems, and being that I was starting a small business I decided to go to data pilot being it had all the cables I needed a all the software bundled together in on convienent package, "Great!" I thought and it worked fine until about 2 weeks ago when I tried to re-hack my slvr with pst, moto kit and all the other good stuff you need to add the vassio itunes to your phone. Well long story short it didn't happen (eventually it did) so happens that one of the drivers data pilot puts on your computer takes the place of the good old motorola modem driver and when your plug your phone all you get is "windows has detected new hardware and is installing the drivers for said hardware yadda yadda yadda..... after all is said and done your device is detected as Susteen usb cable. I spent about 10 days trying to find a way around this and deleting data pilot didn't help being it was a driver file that I also deleted about 100 times and kept coming back, good thing for all the current users of data pilot is it was a update driver so if you have the auto update and install turned on turn it off, the only fix I found was to restore my computer to before I even installed the software, which really sucked. It's good for putting ringtones and pics, and tranfering phone books, but if you want to do any real hacks to your phone (which any real techno geek does) then go with what works... even if it only works half the time.
Btw sorry if I dissed your chosen software, wirelessfanLast edited by Griffzan; 02-15-2007 at 11:17 PM.

This business about getting phone sync software drivers to install properly really seems to cause a lot of people problems.
Glad to hear you got the issues with DataPilot resolved.
