I wondered if you can get the memory on a Razr V3c extended.. 40 mbs is not nearly enough space to put songs and other things on it.

Your V3c only has about 32MB of built of memory and does not have an expandable card slot. That would be the V3m. Personally, my phone currently has over 40 wallpapers, 40 MP3 rintones (each just over :30 in length), and several videos stored on the built in memory and there is still plenty of room to spare.

Now, when you say "songs" do you mean full length MP3 tracks? If so, why? There really is no functional use for it (unlike the V3m which has a built in MP3 player). Also, what do you nmean by "other things"?

To me, it soulds like you bought the wrong phone. Are you a Verizon customer? If so, go in and look at the V3m. I think it will more adequately suit your needs.

It is a phone isn't it? Why the need for all of the music?

Since you quoted my post, I assume that you are asking me this question.

I use the :30 MP3 files as ringtones for various friends and family members. It is a touch of personalization that I enjoy, as do the people close to me.

No, my carrier is bell.. does that mean i can't get a V3m? And the reason i want full length mp3's on it is becuase i've had two mp3 plays stolen from me and sold by my sisters and i don't really want to have it happen again becuase I know it will. It would also be handy to only have to bring my phone instead of lugging around an mp3 player aswell since i like to have music wherever i go.

Unfortunately, the only provider offering the V3m at this time is Verizon Wireless.

That would allow approximately 3 MP3's (depending on format, bitrate, compression, etc.), which is hardly worth all the extra effort of flashing and flexing your V3c.

He is just pointing out that there is not much return for all that hard work. But Ross, if you really want that extra space for a song or two, then go for it.

Not trying to make this my thing but he was not going after you or anything. He was just stating information. Nothing more.

How exactly did I put you down? I never even insinuated an insult toward you Korean_Boi. It's not my style. I just pointed out the facts in order to let others decide the value of your information.

    Re: Extending Razr V3C Memory

had the v3c and had about 5 full songs... that wasn't enough for me.. like u i would rather carry one device instead of two so i bought the nokia 6265 with a 512mb mini sd card that currently has 61 songs and am using 304.7mb without using some kind of software you cant get more space... all the stuff that came on my razr was locked so i couldn't just delete it
