First Motorola came out with V3 Razr in silver. Then they released the black color and then blue and pink. Then they released the V3i Quartrz silver color and then they released V3x. Now they have released V3i in 2-3 other colors including Gold color limited Edition D & G. Soon they will be releasing the now model KRZR K1 or Canary. It makes you wonder what is next? Do you think Motorola is milking the Razr to death?

The Motorola Razr is probably the best-looking phone on the market but doesn't have the best performance, so I've read. It's sleek, shiny, thin, with a concealed antenna. I heard over 5 million were sold worldwide. Amazing. Why shouldn't Motorola keep adapting it? Maybe new features will be added, such as a retractable rotary head, so that owners can use it as a shaver on the go!

I don't think it looks good. The screen is small, the phone is very wide, the top piece looks short and stubby when the phone is open, the buttons are hard to push (in comparison with other phones)...but you're right. It's thin. I guess that's what's important.

To me, the Razr looks very stylish and sleek. It has an elegant, metallic look opposed to the plastic look of most others. The buttons have a modernistic shape. In today's world, fashionable is what sells. Consumers don't buy products that are comfortable or healthful, but products that make them look good to impress others. Few consumers care about the specifications of their phones but are concerned about visual appeal.

I like the way you think. I love my V3c and would not want anything else and that is more than just looks too. It works and fits my life well.

I know. It's disgusting. Really though, the only reason the RAZR is popular is because marketing said it should be. There are phones that look and work much better than the RAZR.

It's all a matter of oppinion. I personally like my V3M over any other clamshell phone I've had. I've had lg's kyoceras, and motorolas.
    And have a great one!!

Re: Is Motorola is milking razr to death?

Marketing sure as hell did not tell me that i liked this phones appearance an functions.

Lmao, that is the stupidest thing i have read on the net lately.

Hey if it dont work for you fine, but the loathing the non or former Razr owners have is getting old.

However it makes it easy to discern the truth from outrageous BS like that by the some posters or zealots, as it seems so many slant thier views to what thier using and not in fact or truth.

Flame me all you want, but a spade is a spade.

I am a new owner of the Razr. It is very elegant looking; especially inmetallic silver. Too bad the gold model is so expensive. I diasagree with Spum that the buttons are hard to push. On the contrary, they are very easy to push and I have arthritis. How can he say that the LCD screen is small? The inside screen is quite large. This is the most attractive phone I've seen. The other brands suffer in comparison. So far, I see no dust particles inside the faceplate of the LCD screen. I can't rate the service as I have not yet activated it; my dealer is on vacation!

I like my razor just fine....

Only thing is that the finish is chipping off of the keypad... probably from like.. sweat/body oils and such... even though I keep it clean... and in a holder.

There are a lot of phones that have the same functions as the RAZR, and the RAZR was not the first to offer those features either. Actually, it had to play catchup this summer to be on par with the other V-Cast phones on the market (which is why we now have the V3m instead of the V3c). I don't slant my views towards what I'm using. My views come from my experience selling cell phones. I tend not to sell the ones that come back to me with problems, and the RAZR is one of the phones that comes back the most. From a sales perspective, the RAZR is a headache. Whether you like it or not, marketing is what made that phone successful because it is subpar in almost every aspect to other phones in the same category.

Re: Is Motorola is milking razr to death?

It is a matter of fashion over function. The phone looks and feels great but it lacks lots of features that others have. (I'm talking about the first RAZR)
I've come to put an end to this...

    ...and what decides fashion? Marketing.
