My bro has this phone (Cingular). I want to put ringtones on his phone but using a usb cable but his phone will not show up on my compter. Why is that.

Your bro can't have the V3m with Cingular. It is a CDMA phone and Cingular is a GSM provider. You may want to get the correct model and ask your question again.

The V3, V3i and V3x are all GSM. Theoretically, they should all function the same, where PC connection is concerned. As long as you are running MPT, your PC should recognize the phone. For MPT questions, just run a quick search on the forums, you will find all kinds of posts with good tips and advice.
