Re: micro sd adapter
Thee is no memory card included with Verizon's Razr. It is a separate accessory.

Re: micro sd adapter
i think isell is trying to say its the card they got in the package with the phone. (my wife got that one).. its possible the card is bad verizon has had history with giving bad cards out.. ask them to exchange cards and try that..
you dont need a driver for the adapter just plug the card into the card reader

Re: micro sd adapter
ok, I am going to try and help out with this. First and foremost, your computer needs to have a SD memory slot or you need to have a USB SD card reader. USB SD card readers can be purchased just about anywhere, Wally world, Circuit City, Best Buy or CompUSA would be my first recommendations. Next, if you have the reader and adapter, and you open My Computer and don't see a new drive appear, then either the reader is not installed properly (some readers require drivers to be loaded prior to using the first time) or your SD memory card is faulty. To check and see if the mini-SD chip is ok, install it in your phone, and then you can go to Settings and Tools, and there should be a Memory selection. If you see Card Memory, then the phone is actually reading the chip.
I have the Krazor K1M with a 1 GB mini-SD memory card. When I first installed the card, I got the Card Memory option, which I did not have before that. I was later loading songs onto my phone and started to get lock-ups due to a communication error between the computer and phone. Eventually, I got fed up with the lock ups, put the SD memory in the computer and completely erased all of the folders and files that were on the card. Reinstalled it in the phone, it re-initialized the memory card, put the folders on it that it required and I have not had a problem with it since.
Hope that this helps.

Re: micro sd adapter
This happened to me and I tried everything all of you have mentioned and did it with new micro SD cards and readers and nothing worked. I had the assistance of the Verizon store manager during this process. I then went to Best Buys and bought a card reader that would read micro SD cards and it worked. If the card reader doesn't specifically say that it reads micro SD cards then it wont work.

Re: micro sd adapter
Isn't that the purpose of an SD adapter? To inset the Micro into the adapter and then put the SD adapter into the card readers SD slot?

Re: micro sd adapter
The adapter doesn't do anything towards reading the micro Sd. It only aids in using it in a larger slot. I repeat. The card reader must be of the latest technology with the capabilities of specifically reading the micro SD. It's a different format than mini Sd or any of the others. Before you speculate, try it first. The verizon manager tried the micro SD in his laptop with a micro slot and it worked. We then tried puting the micro SD in the appropriate adapter and used the Sandisk mobile mate and plugged into all three USB connections and Windows said the chip needed formated but was unable to format it. I took the problem to Best Buy's tech and he showed me that it had to be a micro card reader. I purchased the Alura-tek multi reader and everything works fine. Sandisk doesn't make a micro card reader as of yet.
