I was looking at the V3r for an upgrade from my current phone. I've got cingular service. When I checked my account information and prepared to upgrade I noticed a newer model the Razr V3xx. After checking it out, the only differences I could find were the size dimensions. However, the price is VERY different. The V3r was 129.99 while the V3xx was 49.99...both of those prices are post-rebates.
Are there differences that would justify such a difference in price?

Dave Dzialak: Hi, I'm comparing the RAZR V3r w/the MOTORAZR V3xx, why is the V3xx so much cheaper, every spec seems comparable to, or better than(like the 3G) the RAZR
Quori: The V3xx is still being offered at the introductory price.
Quori: Which is the reason for the big difference.
Dave Dzialak: In your personal opinion, would you recommend the KRZR, RAZR V3r or the MOTORAZR V3xx, with maybe a one or 2 sentence explanation, please?
Quori: The V3xx. It has a 1+ MP camera, streaming video, and is 3G which means connectivity is 350-750 MBPS and is a good value.
Hope this helps

Re: Razr V3r vs. Razr V3xx
Thanks! I went ahead and ordered the V3xx as it was cheaper and didn't seem to be that different that the V3r. The "post-rebate" prices were cheaper as I mentioned, but the retail prices were also different...with the V3r being quite a bit more expensive.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm still under contract with Cingular and didn't want to wait until my contract's end to upgrade or cancel early and have the huge fees to deal with.

Re: Razr V3r vs. Razr V3xx
Well, I've had my V3xx for about 2 weeks now and am really liking it. I've been able to access the Cingular TV option a couple of times while in 3G mode. It doesn't work when not in 3G mode, but that's not a biggie for me. I purchased a 1gig microsd card and the phone recognized it immediately. I've downloaded quite a few songs already and made a few ringers out of 'em using the software Motorola Tools 4.0.
Important note!! If you are in need of that software, DO NOT get it at a Cingular store. They charge about $80 for it. I purchased it online for $30.

more of Motorola milking the Razr dry but i'd go for the V3xx cuz its unlocked and can be used w/cing or tmobile since its quadband as for features sucks that motorola couldnt ad a better camera i mean common 1.3mp cam its a joke when u have everyone else w/3+ mp cams n WLAN technology etc..

Re: Razr V3r vs. Razr V3xx
The camera has been fine for me so far...for what I've used it for. With all the other stuff on it I would, as you feel, expect a better camera. Maybe they'll put on on the next version and call it the V3xx3mp

There is no logic to suggest that a company should abandon a platform that is wildly popular and in heavy demand.
