I just purchased a V3xx today and I'm trying to figure out how to add some MP3 or AAC directly from iTunes. The manual isn't the clearest on this procedure. Do I need a memory card to store songs on the phone?

See More: Adding MP3 to RAZR V3xx?

you cant add directly from itunes you have to find the folder with the individual song files. like My Music folder. and if you have a memory card put it into your computer or hook up the usb and there's a folder labeled "mobile" and then go to "audio" and add the songs in there

Is the folder labeled "mobile" found under a setting on the phone or found using Windows Explorer? Do I have to use a memory card to add the songs? Can I delete the sample songs that came pre-loaded on the phone?

I too just bought a V3xx today, and am wanting to do the same thing. I don't have an SD card, but I do have a USB cable and Windows sees my phone fine. I have a couple of songs that I would like to put on my phone as ringtones instead of just music to listen to. Can this be done or is it necessary to have an SD card?

I guess you found the manual useless for determining the music upload procedure as well

ok this is what you doooo

memory card into computer slot or connect usb > on the computer : open folder to view files > mobile > audio > drag your song from a music FOLDER (not itunes) into "audio" folder. then close everything and then put the memory card into phone and search for your songs

Thanks, that is what I needed to know. I don't have a memory card, so I can't add songs to the phone then.

Actually you can without a card...just made three songs and uploaded using the latest version of "Mobile Phone Tools" (It's a sticky in the Motorola board). Be aware songs have to be recorded in mono format and cannot be larger than 400KB in size.

No, I only put them on the phone to listen too like an iPod. I think they'd have to be shortened and the file size smaller to use as a ringtone.
