Hello all. I'm new to the forums and this is my first post. I searched for several different forums on cell phones and this one looked like a comprehensive and active one, so here I am.

My wife just picked up a new "Krazer" fire red Motorola cell phone. We have been Verizon customers for years and always take advantage of the "renew every two" benefit.

We like Motorola phones specifically because we text each other a lot and, with most Motorola phones, they have a feature where if you miss a page, the phone will issue a reminder sound every few minutes until you acknowledge the missed message. It works this way for missed calls and voice mails as well. You have to turn on this feature, but it is very handy in my opinion.

Her Krazer has this feature, and we have it set to alert every two minutes, but it never does. We have it set this way for missed picture messaging and voice mails, but the alert never happens, even though associated a sound with the specific alerts. Is anyone else having this issue? She recently had to exchange her phone due to a charging problem and the new phone acts the same way, so it wasn't specific to the original phone.

The original manual has been misplaced, so we can't see if there is a secondary setting we need to enable. We did download the online manual, but we can't find where it even references the "Alert" settings.

Also, what does "Standalone" mode mean in Phone Settings? We cannot find any info in the online manual for this either.

Thanks for your help on this.
