We just got rid of an old US Cellular plan in order to get more minutes and decided to go with i-wireless, affiliate of T-Mobile. This runs on the GSM1900 frequency.

We got a Razr V3 and a Sony Erricson W300i.

On the Razr there is a light interference in the ear piece. Notice it some with Sony but not as much. We never had any iterference with US Cellular. We recieve almost full bars so dont think it is a signal strength issue.
We are actually on our 2nd Razr phone and it isnt much better than the 1st.

Could this be a problem with the Razr phones? My wife doesnt really want to give up the razr and say we should go back to US cellular.

Don't think it's your Razr, try changing your phone's frequency to only use the 1900 band and see if that helps.

My son has problems with the earpiece too. I use the speakerphone instead. It has great sound with it. Try that instead. We have i-wireless too
