    HELP! please?
My wife purchased RAZR2V8 cellphone online in the latter part of Jan 08. Did not purchase the extended warrenty. Yesterday less than 4 months later the phone stopped acknowledging service (it says "no service") A call to T Mobile resulted in advice to either purchase a new handset with 2 more years service or take the phone to Best Buy(local dealer) and have them try a "known good" battery to see if this was the problem. (?) (phone performs all other functions) Needless this went over badly at the store. They were no help at all! Just a lot of "I'm sorry but............."weaseling" Have tried to contact Motorola but that's still up in the air. Has anybody any idea of this problem? Or have knowledge of a repair service? It's quite an expensive paperweight at present! Thanks for any advice.

In all honesty....I would just go buy a new and better phone.....I know its a little expensive but the Razr's are junk....i had one for 1 year and i went through approximately 6? Im not rough on my phone but it fell apart...did the same thing yours is doing now and mainly the battery life blew big time. So again if you can go find a much better phone and move over that hunk of crap cell phone!

    Re: razr2v8 probs

Fortunately I found out that Motorola has a 1 year factory replacement warranty. Something that T Mobile was not forthcoming about. Got a replacement handset supposedly on the way. We'll see if anything happens! I believe that she got caught in a sim card scam at Sams yesterday too. They did the exchange paperwork with Motorola for her but told her that the card she was currently using(in her old phone) was automatically killed by the request for service. Also that the type of card she was using wouldn't work in the replacement (?) It was the card from the nonfunctioning razer2! Then sold her a replacement for $10 cash/no receipt with the tale that it was not an inventory item and couldn't be charged because it wouldn't ring up on the register. I suspect they wiped her old card and one of them needed some extra cash! (she said the guy took it out of a blister pack hanging with others on the display) Don't think she should be allowed out alone anymore.
I agree that this razr hasn't lived up to anyones standard of reliably, but it's what she's stuck with at least until her contract runs out, unless this replacement fails also.
    Thanks for answering.
