    hi, does anyone know how to get the phonebook copied to the sim on a motorola razr with a damaged screen, my brother has a habit of destroying phones and he didnt store them on the sim just the phone and im trying to help him retrieve them, the usb cable doesnt seem to work for some reason, so i cant copy them that way, i have tried using the manual to do it, but need some help, thanks

    what kind of phone is this? there is no reason that the USB cable should not work for connecting the phone to the PC and backing up the phone book using something like MPT.

    do you have drivers installed for the phone? you can get them at the motodev.com website. Just register for free with them as a developer and use the sites search box to search the term "USB handset drivers" you should have no problem what soever finding those drivers.

    LOL, i had this problem with my kyoccera I put it in my pocket screen was fine, pulled it out it was cracked. If you have sony then you can send it in and have them fix the phone for a small fee (not sure about the other companies). If you have a warranty then don't panic you can have your phone replaced for free as long as the warranty has not expired.

    perhaps that may be the case with sony, but this post is under the Motorola Razr section so ... looks like that is not the case here.

    You didn't get what I was applying it too. Since sony does this maybe other companies are doing the same thing. So ask your company if they do this.
