I am trying to find out if i can use my i730 as a modem for my internet connection. I don't want to use the nextel service. I'll just burn my minutes. and my own ISP. I have to data cable already. thanks any assistance will be helpful.

OEM Cable better
The thing that sucks about those cheap aftermarket cables is that they dont stay in the phone very good. Sometimes you have to play with them to get them to connect riht. The OEM Motorola/Nextel cables snap in and stay in. I have found them to be a lot smaller of a headache than the cheap aftermarket ones. To me, spending an extra $5 is worth no headaches!
