i have a v400...i tried putting a midi file up on my webspace and then going to the url on the phone...it said something about it being invalid or something like that so i tried it again and it gave me all these messages about if your phone has internet capabilities click accept. so i clicked accept and it just kept cycling thru the different screens of little messages like that.
Then i tried the same thing with a mp3 file..trying to take it from my webspace...and it worked fine. i went to the url on the phone, and immideately it downloaded the file.

why does it work with mp3s and not midi?

are there any other formats it supports?

And i have another question while im at it.
When i plug the charger into the phone, it changes the ring style!....ill plug it in and up on the screen a message comes up that says "changed: ring style loud" and if i try it again it just cycles thru all the rings. wtf??

mine does the same thing i think it's like that so you can hear you phone if you asleep, as far as your midi's you may be trying to access them directly which your phone won't allow you to do, you have to make a link to them using code example
(<a href="nameofmidi.mid">Name of midi</a>) the midi has to be saved in your file manager and the name has to be exact, not to mention the site has to be small enough to access from your phone. Tell me what page builder your using and I'll try to help more

well i tried it again and it worked...i dont know why it wouldnt before.

im just putting the files up on my college web server.

i still am having trouble with the issue when i plug in the charger. ill have it set on vibrate and then when i plug it in it will say "Changed: ring style loud" and then ill unplug it and it says 'changed: ring style vibrate"

eh i guess it could be so that you can hear it when you dont have it in your pocket, but still, its annoying because i want to keep it on vibrate even when its plugged in.

that's exactly why it changes ring styles. motorola set it up so that the ringstyle would change to loud when you charged it, because they realized that the phone wouldn't be on 'you'... so it goes to loud so you can hear it. i have the moto v60 (old phone) and it does the same thing. it's easily fixed on my phone though, as all i have to do is change the ringstyle to whatever i want when it's plugged in. from then on it will go that that style when i'm charging it. so if i want it on vibrate... i change it to vibrate while charging, and it always goes to vibrate. hope that helps.
