Hi, I have a Nextel i830.
I used to have an i730.
I have noticed on both of these phones (and all the newer nextel phones) that their is a little piece of rubber that blocks where you plug in the phone to charge at; you must take it out and put it back in everytime you want to hook/unhook the charger.
It's getting to be a hastle, and is sometimes very hard and tedious to get the charger in there, because it catches on a piece of the rubber.
Can anyone help me? How the heck do I get rid of that piece of rubber? I think I remember figuring out a way to get it out of the i730, but now I have the i830 (Phat Farm Edition) and I cannot figure it out.
Please help!

take the phone apart and it comes right out, I have not had any problems with it and like it because it keeps the dirt out.

take a look at this site, you will only have to take the back off to get to it.
