I have a new Motorola V220 with Cingular service. I would like to make my own mp3 ringtone. I understand the phone is capable of 22khz and have software (Sound Forge) that I can clip the songs with. However, I do not understand how to get it onto the phone. Is it as simple as emailing it? Or do I email a link? Advice is appreciated greatly.

Buy a USB cable from Ebay (that's where I found mine cheap) and get Mobile Phone Tools. There is also a website that sends them to your phone for free called Zedge. Not sure what the acutally site address is... Hope this helped!

another way of doing it is via bluetooth if your phone is enabled.

I hooked up my V600 with my Mac via bluetooth without any trouble and without the need of PhoneTools i sent mp3s to my phone.
