Ok... So a friend who is a big fan of the movie Grease wanted a specific section of one of the songs as her ring tone. I couldn't find a premade one, so I decded to learn how to make them to make her happy. Anyway...

I got the part she wants clipped out using audacity, and saved it as a 16 bit mp3. I can transfer it to the phone with no problem, but when I try to play it on the phone, it says it is corrupted. The phone is a Motorola V220. I'm transferring using mobile phone tools and a usb cable. I've tried changing the extension to a .mid, but then it won't let me transfer.

Any ideas what's wrong? Thanks for the help!

I've had the same problem with my Motorola V220. It says on mp3 files that they are corrupted. It takes midi files fine & uses them fine a ringtones. Go figure...
