Motorola i285

Why do I keep seeing sites that say the i285 can have wallpaper on it? Is there a way to actually upload wallpaper to this phone or what? (i have webjal and a data cable) If not then the pic on the box and on the internet is false advertisement...

So apparently the i285 does not support wallpapers... went to boostlive.com and checked all the phone capabilities, and wallpapers was the only thing that the phone does not support. Which I was pretty mad as well because I thought different as well... not to mention, not having a background makes the phone a little ugly. Another thing, bought a faceplate for it, and can't even figure out how to change them! Asked some Nextel reps for help, and they didn't know anything about the phone and changing them. The book to the phone tells you to just turn the little M icon, and just pull off the faceplate, but it really is NOT that easy!! Any tips???... Would very much appreciate it...

You do have to just turn the M thing counter clockwise and pull it up. U are right it doesnt just manuver itself, u have to pull with ur nails or like a pin or something and it should just pop right off.

Its been sometime ago that i wrote this topic, im surprised you found it . I hate my i285 now and I wanna trade it in and get something else.

Hmm well the faceplate I bought from the mall must be wrong because it's a bigger cover than just that facecover. I mean the black facecover that does come off... isn't what I bought. but the package clearly says ''for Motorola I285''.. but oh well.
