Yes I have one of these phones through Net10 (tracefone owned). What I don't like about it is that I returned 5 different phones because the was no Rapid Refill option (Redeem airtime under prepaid menu). I can have this fixed by sending it to them only (I returned the phones to Walmart where I bought them). After getting the 5th one the Customer Service person actually gave me a $30 card for free (after the first, couldn't activate because there was no time on them). On the 5th one (with the card) it activated and gave me 310 minutes, just 10 minutes on the phone not 20 like I read elsewhere. I was sent an email from tech support that I could get the redeem airtime to show up under the prepaid menu if I put in a simple code. I put it in and it disabled my service and I had to call to get it fixed. The guy on the phone told me a code wouldn't work and I had to send it to them to have it fixed. Because of the 'free' minutes they had given me at walmart I kept the phone, but only to find that it doesn' look like it has any internet (for ringtones and such). Waiting on tech support again to find out if internet is possible (it's in the manual) and how much it cost. There is no place for a cable on this phone so that's out. 10 cents a minute for calls and 5 cents for texting sounds good, but the problems don't seem worth it yet (have had it 3 days),,, we'll see.

I don't like the fact that I can hardly hear who I'm speaking to even though the volume is on high,the annoying sounds it makes when it is turned off and on, the ring tones are stupid,the battery dies too fast,sometimes when I try to use it there is a TRY LATER message,so I can not retrieve anything in the phone,I can't send text,but can recieve it and can't even add minutes at this time,the manual is vague,but other than that I love it.LOL

The v171 was a simple low end phone in the beginning, then net10 got ahold of a batch and made them complete junk. throw away your manual if you have net10, they do not go together. Assuming your talking about a net10 v171, it has nothing on it, no download, no net,no nothing.You can have sms media sent to your phone (cheap cheap monophonic ringers) and cannot add any backgrounds.

If you are not talking about the net10 version of this phone- it has no usb,the screen is 1/3 the size of my v600, its very slow reacting, you cant customize it much, its great if your a 10 year old girl and none of your firneds have phones... maybe. I dont see why they would have an internet capable phone that doesnt even have usb hookup.
