which flash flex file?

I want to know which monster pack I could use.. does anyone know? I checked and the s/n number did not match mines. Could I use any of the monster packs with my phone?

lol what phone? what carrier? what s/w version? what flex version? what bl version? what are you wanting to add? read read read then search search search search. there are tons of guides everywhere.

I want to add video and all the other capabilities which include fixing the bugs.

looks like same as yours. I was told I could dl any of the monster packs but just wanted to make sure before it wastoo late..

what boot loader version do you have? turn the phone off. hold down the * and # keys and power the phone on while holding those 2 keys. This will bring you into boot loader mode. If you have bl 07.e0 then you need to upgrade that as well.

also if you need a special lang pack you need to consider that.

since you are on cingular like I am, the simple and quick way, would be to go to www.motox.us and scroll down towards the bottom under bulletin board and d/l the 'razr v3 new bootloader 08.23' (if you need it) and the 'razr v3 keypad fix flex' (just in case).

then scroll back up top and d/l the R374_G_0E.41.C3R_A_reflash.shx file. it's in the top right corner. says new beside it.

then look to the left of the page and click on monster packs and d/l the 1st pack you see. should be the C0R_ICEMAN_MOTOX.shx (video enabled cingular monster pack).

now, print this....

all of this is going to be 'flashed' so you can ignore the flex section of the guide.

I assume you already have a working copy of PST.

follow the guide to the letter and do things in this order.

make sure your battery has a full charge and you have a backup of anything you do not want to lose.

1) flash the boot loader using the 'razr v3 new bootloader 08.23'
when it completes successfully, disconnect the phone. it should be off. Hold down the * and # keys again and power it on. make sure the b/l version is now showing 0.823.

2) flash using the C0R_ICEMAN_MOTOX.shx (video enabled cingular monster pack).
this may need to be converted from .rar to .shx format. Google for an app to convert it.

3) flash using the R374_G_0E.41.C3R_A_reflash.shx

that's it. now you can start deleting any stock stuff and restoring you phone book, pics and re-doing your personal settings.

please read all of these threads entirely so you will be ready for any issues that may come up.

could u tell me what the reflash is for? and doesnt the monster pack include a bl.

the reflash upgrades you from the C0R in the MP to C3R. If you don't want the 3 extra M of memory and multi letter search in the phone book, don't do it.

and no the bl is not included in the mp. I would not have included that step if it was. Have you read what's in a mp? I cannot be any more specific. I outlined every one of the steps and the sequence. You can always read the threads and learn it on your own.

I understand everything you said, but just dont know if everything is neccessary. Now I do though. I do want that extra memory, but if its only more memory for phone book then no. I store all my numbers on my sim card so I do not get the features that come with storing the number to the phone it self.

there is no such thing as extra memory for numbers only. all memory is shared, period, no matter if its pics, tones or what.

how do I flash the bl, if I cant use multi flash/flex to flash the bl.

hu? you use MFF and flash using the 'razr v3 new bootloader 08.23' that you down loaded. Exactly like the MP and the reflash. All three steps are done exactly the same, all you have to do is point MFF to the different file each time.

ok I will. anyway, are the files all shx files one for monster and one for bootloader? Will I need to flesh also using the same monster pack? or should I just flash then flex.
I think im ready to do this, Ill let you know when I get a successful flash after you post a reply to this.

dude...you don't need to flex at all.

you should have 3 files you downloaded. bl, mp, and reflash

flash the bootloader, then check to make sure it updated
flash the monsterpack
flash the reflash file

go back up and read the steps.

the mp may be in .rar format! if so you will need to extract it into .shx format. it will extract it into one large file.

google for a unzip app.

damn forgot to recharge my phone, had full bars but has 0 when charging..

Ok I flashed using the bl .8_2_3 then flashed only using the iceman monster pack, for now I get an error everytime I turn on the phone saying, "flex error phone subsidy locked" everything works fine and runs fine.
I got successful flash sign after flash was finished but I got this error log:
