frustration with MPT and PST install

i got a bunch of resources and i feel like ive followed the instructions PRECISELY but the software is still not installing properly on my computer and the computer and the phone are still not communicating via the USB cable...

im SO FRUSTRATED!!!

i havnt even started messing with the codes or flashing stuff and im already stuck..

i have the MPT downloaded and the PST and PATCH downloaded and NOTHING seems to be working...

UGH!!!
