I know this subject has been hashed out quite a bit here. I have not found
an answer to this issue. One answer on another forum suggested creating an
mmf file. Another user had also contacted Motorola and got the MP3 specs.
I'd like to see those specs.

So, the question, as any one found a solution yet? I'm going to try to contact
my Alltel rep in the next day or so and see what can be done, if she knows.

What's the question? If your wondering if your phone supports mp3, then yes if you want to know if it's mmf, then no, thats for samsungs.

I can upload MP3s into the phone using the data cable and MPT. When I try to use the
MP3, the phone says it is corrupt, and asks to delete it. Is there a way to make the
phone use MP3s as Motorola says it will.

Also, when I take a WAV file and transfer it into the phone, MPT converts it to MP3.

Check my ringtones thread on the how to, it's stickied at the top so you won't miss it.

Thanks. I don't see what you're talking about, though. What is stickied at the top?

A how-to on making ringtones your ringtone is most likely not set for the right bitrate etc.

If this is an issue with the programming Alltel has done, I am going to see what I can find out about programming the V262. If I can get access to the program Alltel uses, maybe
then I can find the answer.
