Hi, I'm new to this forum, I was reading the stickies but i'm just so confused, sorry for the noob question. But I want to convert my mp3 songs so I can play it on my phone polyphonics. I read about the midi and that has no voice and the program with the 1 month free demo. I just want to be able to do it myself how do I do this? Or where can I read about this?
Thank you very much for the help!

there is difference between polyphonic, and mp3, polyphonic is just an instrumental version of the song, whereas the mp3 is the actual song itself. The v3 can do both, so if you want mp3's on your phone all you have to do is crop it down to a 10-15 second clip and then get it on your phone, if you want a polyphonic ringtone, there are plenty on this site. One other thing, you CANNOT convert mp3-midi (polyphonic tones) directly, it will not work! Let me know if u have any further ?'s

I have heard that a program called MP3Cutter works, but I cannot vouch for it personally

look up 'dietmp3' on google, simple enuff program and u can shrink mp3s to below 700kb for a whole song without serious quality loss so u should be more than good with just clips for ringtones

i dont know how to use either, so im the wrong person to talk to about those, just, crop the song down to an 10-15 second clip of your fav part of the song, and once you have that , alls you gotta do is get that mp3 clip onto your phone, and thats about it!

Free File Transferring Website!!!!!
FREE FILE TRANSFERRING WEBSITE! I found this website where any mp3s, or pictures on your computer can be sent to your phone using the phones web browser, email, or picture messageing. WMA's and some other forms may not be supported mp3s can be up to 40 seconds and it lets you pick where in the song you want your ringtone to start! tight! Most phones should work if you have either one of these 3 options, just find the picture of your phone on the list (works like a charm with my black razr sending real tones with the web browser). Dont have to sign up, just walk through the phone and carrier questions. Enjoy! (i hope this was not old news, but its alot easier than the mobile phone tools and bluetooth setup and all that mess!!!) http://mobile17.smashsworld.com

try using wavpad, its free and its real simple to use, just select what part of the song you want, crop it down, save file as mp3, and set bitrate, stereo or mono, and sampling rate and bam, mp3 tone is made within seconds. Search it on yahoo and it will take you to their site, there is a free version you can download with no restrictions from wavepad's official site! Good luck!
