Will leaving bluetooth turned on on my Razr have an appreciable affect on battery life, or am I being paranoid?

I have heard and assume that it would drain the battery life. I turn mine off on my v551 when i'm not using it.

It definitely affects our 710 and 815... but with both a car and a house charger its no biggie, just plug in every other night even if its on all day... leaving my phone turned on in a "no service" area sucks battery even quicker

Yes I garuntee that it will suck your battery life in about a 1/3 of the time more so if your making calls with your headset, I use mine quite a bit and half way through the next day it's dead.

You should turn it off unless you need it. Create a shortcut to turn it on and off so you can do it easily. You can even do it with a voice command even though assigning it a number is quicker.

if you want maximum battery you should also do away with the screensaver, key pad tones, and set your network search speed to slow.

I've assinged a direction key to take me into bluetooth - I still need to select "setup", and then "power" and change it. Is there a quicker way to get right into the power screen?

create the shortcut at the power screen. Mine goes directly to the on and off choices.

Hmmm - not seeing that as an option. Guess I'll have to play with it some more.

not seeing that as an option? You can create a shortcut to any screen you want. Go the screen you want and hold down the middle menu key. It will ask if you want to create a shortcut, thats it.
