takes forever to turn on...

ok i have a motorola phone and it works perfectly fine.. when it's open. When it's closed, it works fine, opperating fine. Then when I open it, i have to wait like a minute before it shows my background screen. Sometimes I have to shake the phone to make sure it comes on. Anytime I open my phone, I have to shake it, wait a minute, then it'll come on.
I've tried turning my phone on and off and taking the sim card out and cleaning it, but it won't work.

Do you happen to have a wallpaper that's a pretty big file? Any time I use a large wallpaper I have to wait a sec for my screen to come on. Try having a small background (or none at all) and see how fast it is then. Keep us posted.

I just tried it.. But it's still doing the same thing.

Do you have a lot of pics, ringtones, vids, games etc?

the more you have on the phone, the longer it takes to power it up.

Nope, i went ahead and deleted all pictures, and have only 2 ring tones left, i dont download games.. all i have are the ones that come with the phone and aim.
Still showing a blank screen when I open my phone.

Do a master reset and let us know if that clears it up.

How do I do that? Shut it off for a long time?

Goto the Menu > Settings > Initial Setup > Master Reset

If i do a Master Reset, will I lose everyone's numbers?

Only the dialed and recieved. Not the ones in your phone book

Okay. I have to punch in a security code in order for me to Master reset it... and I don't know it.

It's either 0000 or 000000

It says to reset all phone settings.. yes or no.. yes yeah?

When you Master reset it... it doesn't delete received calls or anything... it just changes your personal settings.. like your background and stuff.
