Ok, I just purchased a brand new Motorola V500, but have run into a problem. The phone will only turn on and work if plugged into my car charger. The status shows that the battery is "Completely Charged", but as soon as you unplug the charger (either from the phone, or the outlet) the phone dies.
It will not turn on or function unless it is plugged into my vehicle charger.
If it is plugged into my wall charger inside, it fluctuates between "Charging Complete" and "Charging Battery". It will turn on, but the slightest movement that could possibly break the connection with the charger and the phone shuts off completely.
Does anyone have any clue what may cause this? Im about to pull my hair out. I leave the country in 2 days and I really need this phone working so that I can use my service overseas.
A million thanks in advance for any help and I'll dance at your wedding.

Does anyone have any ideas? Is it possible that the battery is bad and not really holding a charge so when you disconnect the power source the phone dies?

sounds like a bad battery, the place where you bought the phone from should give you a replacement...

You are welcome, sometimes the batteries sit there for so long without a charge that the cells will die and not charge properly.
