Hi, I just found about this forum and I wanted to ask you guys about this phone.
I got e815 phone yesterday and I love every feature that this for gives but one thing that I still didn't get is the Mp3 player. I read it on the review that it has MP3 player capability but I dont know how this works. One of the main reason I bought this phone was because of the MP3. I'm pretty sure I have to buy the memory because I don't think this phone has enough space itself. But other than that, how do I transfer the mp3 file from my computer to my phone. Like, I didn't receive any USB port or something so do I need to buy the line separately? Someone please help me step by step.
Thanks!

If you buy the memory, the memory stick should come with a memory stick adaptor that you insert onto your computer, and follow those steps to transferring data onto that memory stick.
Here's what I'm talking about

Yes, you will need to buy a Transflash card. Go to some place like best buy and tell them what kind of phone you have and that you need a transflash memory card.
If your computer doesn't have a 9 in 1 card reader, then you are going to have to buy a SD card reader. You can get them just about anyplace. I bought one from Radio Shack for $19.95 for my laptop
Place the memory card into your phone (be really careful that you place it in the proper way). With the phone closed, turn it over so the back of the phone is facing you with the top up, open up the memory card slot on the top of the phone, look at the memory card, there is a tiny arrow on the bottom of it, that of course means that end goes in first, but, make sure that that arrow is facing you, then just push it in and it will click into place.
Once that's done, open your phone and go to the main menu, press Phone Info (9), go down to Storage Device, make sure Transflash or whatever the phone calls it is highlighted, press the menu button again, and it should say format. Press ok to let the phone format your card.
Now once that's done, remove the card from the phone, put it into the card reader that should be hooked up to your computer. Yes, you need to put the memory card back into the other part that it came with.
Your computer (if XP) should have assigned the card reader a drive letter. If all this is done and true, your set.
Now all you have to do is drag and drop the mp3's you want to the drive that is your card reader. Remove the card from the reader, remove the memory from the holder, and insert it back into your phone.
Now go to your main menu, scroll down to Media Gallery (5), go to Sounds (3), press the menu button again, go down to switch Storage Devices, select the transflash card and press ok.
All the songs you put on the card should now be available to you.
That's it....enjoy!
I strongly suggest finding a very nice set of ear buds to use. The song quality is fantastic. Also, when buying a pair of headphones or earbuds for the phone, make sure the plug-in has three (3) lines on it and not just two, or they won't work with the phone.
Hope this helps.

I enjoy the MP3 player too
When you're in the player you can hit the menu key and select "new" then "Playlist"... load up what you wanna hear in the order you wanna hear it (I have this wierd thing about chord sequences 'tween one somg and the next) and listen all day ... if you click "hide" you can close the clamshell and keep listening

What is the max memory capacity of a card for the 815? I've read both 128 and 512 mb. Need to know before I buy a card.

You can get any size memory card... I have a 256 in my 815, but had a 128 (sent it to my hubby's 710 )... From what I've read you should get what you can while you can, the popularity of the lil beasts has made for more demand than supply!

Plenty of places online to buy something like that. But if you have no problems with a 256, then I'm guessing what I read about a 512 working is true as well.

Just remember ppl, the more you put on that memory card, the longer it's going to take the phone to access it. On my 512 meg card (fully loaded), it literally takes 5 seconds sometimes to access everything on it.
