In order to be able to transfer files, does my phone need to have an internet connection, because so far my GPRS isn't activated.

The reason I ask is because when I open up MPT, then go to Image Studio and try to transfer a specific pic to use as my wallpaper to my phone, it tries connecting but then says "Unable to communicate with the mobile phone" When I open up Mobile Explorer, it won't let me transfer any audio files to play on the mp3 player or as my ringtone either. It always says "Processing failed."

Does anyone know what the problem is? Could it be because my phone can't go online via GPRS? I was thinking I didn't need GPRS, since I'm already using the USB line. I'm not sure whether I need to be connected online even if it's just transfering files from my comp to my phone.

Thanks guys and I appreciate the help. I've spent the last 6hours or so trying to figure MPT out to no avail. This is really frustrating. I was really looking forward to uploading files unto my phone, I'm using a Motorola E398 btw.
