I have tried to use an USB cord to charge my Motorola V3c with no luck. Other posts have shown success with non Verizon phones (typical eh ) When I use my APC travel charger I get a message of unauthrized charger. When I connect the USB to my computer, The computer sees it and starts looking for a driver but there is no charging response to the phone. Could someone help me with this?

As stated in numerous previous posts, you will need to download Motorola's Mobile Phone Tools 3.0 in order to connect your phone to your computer. This includes simply charging your phone.
I have a Verizon Razr V3c and it works fine on my computer, with the exception of certain functions that Verizon seems to have disabled.
Look here for the software you need.LG VX9900 (enV)

USB Charging with an adapter
Actually the most important charging issue I have is with a Mobile charging system that I have from APC I can hook any USB charger into it and it will work. It worked with my motorola V710 and my PDA. But the V3c does not work. It gives me an error code code stating unathorized charger....

You do not need to have MPT downloaded to simply charge your phone with a usb cable, remember that if your battery is completely drained, the usb cable will not charge your phone.
