I recently downloaded mobile phone tools 3.11... When I try to run the program, it tells me the "URL is not valid"... What do I do?

...in case you downloaded it via less than legal methods....BUY AN ACTUAL COPY ...or find better download sources hehe.

more clearly., you're version is useless. You should not have any problems like that

    try doing live update.

Under one of the menus is a live update. I think the current version is 4. something. Also some people with verizon phones have had some problems if you have a verizon phone the following link may help.

I am using MPT v4.0.4b, and found the cnet article to be quite helpful in accessing the multimedia studio. However, with the newer version of MPT, I found a slight tweak that perfectionists such as myself might appreciate. Instead of selecting E815m from the list of drivers, try using V3cm instead. This will give you the correct UI on your desktop and should still give you access to the multimedia studio.

Thanks to everyone who contributed solutions to this issue.

Now, I just need to figure out how to get rid of all the Verizon pre-installed sounds and pictures on my V3c. I don't use them, they are just clutter and wasting my precious 30MB of built-in memory. Any suggestions that won't potentially crash my phone?

hehe...30mb...and you're worrying about what...<500kb-1mb of media? lol...Imagine those of us who had the V300 way back when...and we were suffering with 5mb!!!

check out www.howardforums.com I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR MISTAKES.

Installing correct p2k drivers (CHECK P2K TOOLS), and the software will let you view your phones folder structure. Once there. BACK EVERYTHING UP!

Once you've BACKED EVERYTHING UP!!!!, you can go into your pics folder, and delete stock images (MMS animations), then BACK UP EVERYTHING FIRST!!!, then you can BACK UP EVERYTHING!!!!!-go to the music folder, and delete your crappy ringtones.

    There. Have fun.

Unfortunately, even after 3 hours of attempts, I can not get p2kman to work. My WinXP computer will not recognize the drivers in p2k.inf, and therefore will not install the necessary software to allow p2kman to recognize that mny phone is connected.

    Anybody have suggestions?

Yes, I have followed the extra instructions for WinXP in the p2k help files. They do not apply to my circumstances, as I am unable to get any drivers installed.

Well, maybe I figured it out. I downloaded p2kcommander and got farther than before. Now, however, my computer freezes up and will not read the files on my phone.
