Motorola v635i flip crackling / cliking noise when opening

Hi Guys my first post here. I have to say these forums are great and helped me make up my mind about what I want.

So here it is does all motorola flip phones make that noise when opening / closing flip. I can best describe this as kind of clicking or crackling noise when I open or close the phone. I ordered first v635i from rogers got it and phone was doing it so I send it back and now got a different phone and it's doing it as well. I had flips before and all of them were closing and opening without any noise. I also asked a friend of mine at a gym to see his motorola flip (different model then v635 can't remember at the moment) and it was kind of doing the same thing. I guess it kind of bugs me that over 400$ CAD phone is doing that a new phone that is. I really like the phone and will keep it but want to know that they all do it and that there isn't problem with my phone.

I've owned many Motorola phones especially flip style ones and never have i had those problems but have read about it from other users, i've also read that when handsets are new some tend to make that crackling sound but that problem goes away after some use, nevertheless i would not accept a handset that way...

Wow, well without being able to actually hear this noise you're talking about I am having a hard time guessing as to what it might be.

It's not a big mystery, anyone who's used flip phones for a while might have experience noise at the hinges, some more noticeable than others.

I went to couple of stores and both of them agreed that the phone shouldn't make that noise. I'm sending it back to Rogers today since it's the 2nd one they have send me that's doing this. I'm hoping that third one will be ok. Too bad I can't get it from one of their stores this model they only have it through online shipping.
