    Hello,

I finally got MPT working fine. I detect my device manually, and then once I get to where the picture of the phone pops up, it says intializing forever.. How long should this take? Ive waited like 5 minutes and then gave up.. Im updating my MPT not to version 3.28.. Am I missing something? Any help would be good, THANKS

First update MPT. 3.28 is an old version that probably won't "see" a v3C. The newest is 4.0.4b. Second, I'd recomend letting MPT detect your phone, not setting it up manually. I've had no problems with MPT and my V3C doing it this way.

    I upgraded to version 3.3

I am running Windows 98 and it says I cannot upgrade anymore unless i get another windows... I dont wanna redo my computer here, just get ringtones... That is all i want... My computer knows the phone is plugged in, I loaded the drivers and it found new hardware when I plugged it in.. MPT wont find it when it searches automatically and hten when i click it all manually, it just says please wait and never changes..

Is there somethin else I can do? Another program I can use that will work? ANything, I just want some ringtones..

Thanks alot for all your help, I appreciate it..

Yea, hold on... Gotta find a link to another site w/ a version of P2K Commander and drivers that will work for the v3c... It's a little harder to use but it should do the trick...

    Try http://forum.osnn.net/showthread.php?t=79866

It's a program called P2K commander. You absolutely MUST use the drivers provided or it won't work. I use it here and there for adding rings, pics, etc and was able to remove some of the stupid stock rings. You have to register to D/L the file (bottom of first post). There is some pretty good info there on the v3C as well. BTW, I don't have a 98 machine running right now so I can't guarantee that this program will work with it.
