    Hi all,

I stumbled across this website and find it very informative and interesting. I never knew a site like this existed. I'm having a little problem with a ringtone...

I have converted an mp3 file into a ring tone using audacity, ringlame and lame. however, I am having problems getting the mp3 file onto my Motorola Razr V3. I do not have a USB cable so I have been trying to e-mail it to myself. The e-mail goes through to my phone but it the msg indicates that the file was "dropped." Any help would be greatly appreciate.

    many thanx,
    P

Get a USB Bluetooth adapter (like $20 or so,) and use that to transfer your ringtone to your phone.

Doesn't that require moto phone tools as well? Thank you for your response.

use P2Kman and a standard mini USB. These mini USB cables usually come with digital cameras and mp3 players

Nope. You can just use windows explorer to copy/paste or drag and drop files onto your phone. As a matter of fact, I have yet to get MPT to even detect my phone through Bluetooth...

you will need some type of driver to transfer ringers to your phone from a PC, and yes MPT will do that for you. mpt

I bought a Kensington Bluetooth USB Adapter 2.0 and it works great with my V551, it cost 35$ on sale at Best Buy.
