Phone to Computer Transfer

I have an i736 phone for Nextel. I am upgrading to a new phone. I would like to download the apps from my i736 to my PC for upload to the new phone. Is this possible? What software do I need. I've gone through WebJAL and discovered I can't download from my phone to PC.

Im not familiar with your phone but there is this thing called USB sd card reader from motorola. It supposed to transfer data from phone to PC and vice versa . The motorola part # is SYN-1045A.
