I just got my first cell phone - the motorola 815 - and one thing frustrates me. Several names I want to add to my contact list have extensions in their number - such as 1-800-345-5645 x 4367.
Is there any way to put that information in so that I can make a call directly to the person. I know I can call teh company and tehn key in the extension, but I often do not remember the extension when I am out in teh field.

does that even work?
i always thought that you had to enter the extension after you were connected to their system. so if you dialed 10 extra numbers after their phone number, only the x-xxx-xxx-xxxx would register.

No, I guess it won't work. As far as I can see you are correct. It is a shame as I now have to remember extensions.

you can always hit 0 (once or multiple times) to get the operator and ask for the person. most systems have that default built in, assuming it's automated.
