I have a T-mobile with the Motorola V3i, I had to order the unlocked phone from Mobilebee.com and I love the phone very much. I do have a few questions regarding the phone however. I'm wondering how I can use song that I store on the 256MB trans flash card as ring tones. I know that it will play mp3s as ring tomes on its 30MB built in memory but I'm not seeing were it will allow me to use song on the Transflash card as ring tones.
My next Question is, I have gone through four charges already on the battery I have made sure to run it all the way down and then charge it all the way up. When I connect the phone Via USB to my computer when I first got it, it charged a little and I’m concerned about hooking it to my pc because it may charge and ruin my batteries memory. So I always run the battery way down and then charge it way up and I never connect it to my PC, is there a way to disable this feature of charging so that when I connect it to my PC that it will not Charge? Should I even worry about it at all?

No, there is no way to use the files on your TF card memory as ringtones, only the phone memory.
As for the battery, it should be Lithium Ion, which doesn't have a charge memory.

He has a legitimate concern. Rechargeable batteries used to be nickel cadmium (not li-ion) and had "memory." Charging and discharging for short amounts (not fully) would reduce the capacity of the battery greatly.
Nowadays these batteries shouldn't have the memory problem, however, this doesn't mean doing a couple hundred 5 minute charge cycles (usb connection to download a pic or something) wont do any damage. It is really hard to say, but if you are concerned, you might try using an external memory card reader. I have yet to see if files can be transferred this way.
Using an external memory card reader may also give faster transfer times. It feels sluggish going through the phone.

I prefer useing my card reader to transfer files to the card. It is much faster than usb. And as for the directory named ringtones on your mem card that is where they are stored when you copy from phone to the card. I sugest you make your own ringtones from your song files. You only need 30 seconds of music then your voice mail pics up so your wasting mem space by making the whole song a ring tone. And to answer your other question your ring tones have to be stored in the phone memory. You can create and save them on you transflash and then just copy from card to phone when you put the card back in the phone. Here are a few ringtones I made to get you started. Re: Motorolia V3i setup
tones on the TF card CAN very easily be used as ringtones....you need to update to .10R or higher!
