What you do is contact T-mobile on a land line phone, so they can walk you through step by step on what to do.

This way you can give them feed back on exactly what messages are coming up on the phone, and they can tell you in real time, what to do, again, step by step.

By the way, any time the phone displays the message "contact service provider", stop what you are trying to do with the phone and do just that, contact T-mobile (who is your service provider if you were not sure of that).

I contacted T-mobile and they said they could not help me since it was a cingular based phone.

Sorry I thought it was working with T-mobile and for some reason is now not working.

Brett since the subsidy code that you got came from Cingular, just give them a call to let them know it's not working (which is what the subsidy code directions say to do if the code does not work after entering it two times).

Even if you are not a customer any longer (well as least not out of 90 days anyway), they should still be able to help you, since they were the ones that gave it to you in the first place. When you call them, tell them the date you first requested to code, and check the email that the code came in, to make sure the IMEI number matches the phone.

Otherwise your only option is to find one of those Services that can reflash your phone and unlock it again, if the subsidy code is not working or never worked.
