E815 - The mp3 player turns off when I close my phone?

Is there anyway around this? I purchased this phone for walking/running and it is inconvenient if I have to leave it open.

This is the first time I have heard of this. Just to make sure, I went and brought up a song, closed the phone, and it continued to play.

You put some mp3's on a trans flash card, accessed the song from Media Gallery, then sounds. Picked your song, pressed play; the song starts to play and when you close the phone, it turns off???

That about right?

Thats correct.

At least now I know that the songs normally stay playing when the phone is closed...I will continue to check for a setting or something.

Have you tried to make a play list and start that and close the phone and see if it will continue to play?

I'm at work, so don't have access to the owner's manual, or I'd check that real quick.
