a few days ago, i was using 'p2kman' to transfer some small sized files to my phone. as i was trying to see the files on my phone by clicking 'update list', the program started to hang for a couple of minutes then suddenly froze. this forced me to close the program via task manager. after i closed the program, i took a look at my phone to find it acting really funky. icons were missing, menu was out of place and pressing any of the buttons on the phone made no sound. so i tried asking other people on many diff. forums for some help. most of them suggested i try and re-flash the phone w/ the same firmware since they claimed it should restart the phone and turn everything back to default, since this seemed to be a sotware related problem. so i took their advice and tried re-flashing, but this created a new problem. the problem i am having now is once i turn my phone on, i can see the "hellomoto" logo screen, then suddenly it'll turn blank white and continue to repeatedly flash a blank white screen. i provided a small video clip (i recorded it from another cell phone of mine, so please forgive me for the quality) of what the problem looks like:

you can view it with QuickTime.
hope anyone here can provide me some help.
thanks!

Re: V635: flashing white screen problem
thats the same thing my phone did when the battery melted in it. I just assumed it was some kind of default error screen. like the blue screen of death.

Re: i have the same problem-Nokia 7610
This happened to me, and basically, the phone was dead. I wasn't doing anything unusual, just trying to turn it on. I kept getting the initial screen, which would turn to white, attempt to connect, then turn to black. Contact your service provider, who probably will replace the phone for you at no charge, if there is a warranty and it's still in effect.
