Question 1: Can I use mp3 ringtones on my V3C? (Remember I am using alltel)

Question 2: I have heard that Verizon has crippled bluetooth on their phones, I have also heard that Alltel does this, is that true?

    Thanks!

Re: Two question about the V3C using Alltel...

Thanks for the help, but I now have a spin-off question

SPINOFF QUESTION!: Could I use the bluetooth on my V3C to connect to my bluetooth enabled PDA? Because I have heard that the only thing they control with their bluetooth is which headsets will work with it, not what other devices it can connect to. But I am around 50-50 on this...

    Thanks again!

Not sure on the PDA, best way would be to try to connect it and see.

Re: Two question about the V3C using Alltel...

Yes the only problem is doing it in the store , they are packed 9 out of 10 times .
Well bluetooth is up to 30 feet right? Maybe if I stand outside the store and try and connect to any phone they offer...Thanks!

Smart reply, but according to what you posted in your second post, it says you want to connect your Razr v3c to your PDA meaning you already have both devices.... but if you were smarter, you would know that the handsets they have in the store would need to be set up to find your device in order to connect anyways so YOU standing outside the store would not do you anygood would it?...

Re: Two question about the V3C using Alltel...

Ok, I have only been in an alltel store twice, this is my first cell phone, and all I know is that you have to turn bluetooth on in order to be discoverable. If I never had a cell phone before then how would I know that?

Last thing, it is my future owned V3C, I could still say "My V3C" like if you are going to buy a car in a couple of days, you could say, "Should I get a black racing decal for my car or should I get a red flame decal?" See? That works and I was talking about a future owned car.

Re: Two question about the V3C using Alltel...

I am sorry if I offended you, I was joking about the whole standing outside and connecting, but I did not know that you could not do that. I am sorry if I have made myself look like a "smart ass" to you, I am in desperate need of answers, why would I do that? I have called 3 different alltel's and everyone there said that they didn't know. I was just trying to prove my point, not come out as a smart ass. It is hard to tell is who is joking on a forum, but let me tell you none of my posts here (of any other forum for that matter) are negative. Also I gave you positive Rep because you helped me out. Thanks.
