Hello, my uncle recently got a new phone and gave me his old one which is Motorola V60 Color, it is one before the chip in the back. Anyways this phone came off of a phone plan with Cingular. I had called Cingular to see if they can reprogram them to switch to a pre-paid plan and they told me no, that is what the GoPhones are for. So I guess now my question is, is there a company or service that works with the pre-paid minutes and can work on any phone. Basically I am looking for a cheap way to get my phone in service. Thanks Jaimy

    Re: Motorola V60

what cingular told you was correct. we cannot activate any tdma phones that work for cingular anymore. honestly, it's hard finding a prepaid for tdma in philadelphia. most of our prepaid (non-gsm) are cdma. you may want to seriously just buy a new prepaid phone (which don't cost much anymore). look into verizon inpulse and easypay service for affordable plans and phone packages. you can always find a good deal at target for some t-mobiles (under $50). cheers.
