I have a Moto V551 with the phone tools v 4.0.4b. I cannot find any way to update the SIM card with phone tools. Is there a function in phone tools to do this?
BTW, I use MS Outlook for my contacts on the cell phone. Is it generally considered wise to not have Outlook open when running phone tools, particularly if updating the Outlook phone book with phone tools?
Thanx.

Re: Phone Tools v 4.0.4b Update Sim Card?
I just checked the manual and it is on the SIM card. The reason I put a couple of numbers there were to have them speedily handy. I could never remember my own cell, so with it on the SIM card I could find it quickly when asked for it.

jangell2 you can enter any numbers in there that you want at any time. You don't need Phone tools to do that.
You just bring up the menu, scroll to the entry line and hit the middle of the arrow keys and hit edit.
It's in the manual as well.
